On Wednesday August 8, Kitchener-Conestoga NDP chose Mark Cairns as its candidate for the October 10th provincial election.
A lot of attention will be given to Mark's age - at 19 he will definitely be one of the youngest candidates in the province. But Mark has more to offer than youth. His areas of focus include the environment, lower tuition fees, higher minimum wages, fighting private health care and protecting family farms.
Here in K-W we'll be watching his campaign with interest - I think Mark is going to surprise a lot of people.
Congratulations Mark!
